Very light indeed but not for someone over 6 feet tall. I am 5”2 it was very roomy but my husband is 6’ feet tall and it was tight , other wise great bag, soft, good zipper. I love it. Fast shipping .This sleeping bag would probably be a great option for someone looking to travel light who's not camping in the winter. It says it's rated for down to 48 degrees Fahrenheit, but I don't know about that - it's very thin and I'm just not sure it'd keep someone warm without additional padding and/or blankets. The material is the same as all other standard sleeping bags and feels fine. The building quality is on the cheaper side, but not horribly, and it seems decently durable.I do really like how absolutely small this thing is, though - it's so portable that I think just that aspect outweighs almost any other downsides.Like a chrysalis and almost as light. Weighing in at a mere 1.28 pounds in an 8-inch-long, 6-inch-diameter stuff sack, this will be ideal sleeping gear for a planned month-long spring hiking trip with overnights mostly in hostels, so for primary use indoors as travel bedding, and outdoors on occasion. The goal for the hike is a 10- to 12-pound total pack load, so I needed super lightweight without compromising on warmth and coziness. This fit the bill by description, so the only question was quality—and upon first inspection, I'm very pleased with that. The bag seems well constructed of high-quality materials and is neatly sewn. In lime green with a navy back and lighter purplish-greyish-navy lining, you will look and feel like a cozy caterpillar. When you're in the bag, the sturdy zipper with attached pull is easily closed with one hand by putting a little tension on the base of the zipper seam with your foot, and the velcro flap at the top will prevent the zipper from bothering you at night. (However, note that this works best with the zipper closed all the way; if you want the bag partially open, the open velcro flap and matching uncovered velcro patch can get in your face. A drawcord lets you cinch in the fabric at the head of the bag, although that seems unnecessary given the moderate temps this is rated for.The bag is plenty roomy for me as a petite woman, but you may want to go with an extra long model if you're near or over 6 feet. If you're not used to mummy bags, they may look constricting but they're generally not, because instead of turning inside them like you would in a regular bag, you're basically wearing the bag and it moves along with you. The only position I find doesn't work very well is "stork"—i.e., with one leg drawn up; legs have to move more or less together. The bag is easily folded in on itself lengthwise, rolled from the toe, and stuffed back into its sack more quickly than I expected, taking perhaps two or three minutes at most, with an inner nonlocking drawstring (not sure why this one doesn't have a toggle stop) and an outer lockstop cord to thoroughly secure it.All in all, this seems pretty close to perfect for my needs and I'm excited to take it on the trail. Will report back on how it holds up to extended daily use.I don't think you can get much more compact and light weight than this.Material is comfortable.Last year I invested about $275 in a high end camping quilt made with ultra-lightweight fabric and stuffed with 800 fill power down. I've used that quilt on all kinds of camping and backpacking adventures, and it's definitely worth the price for me. I only say that to give you a frame of reference for the types of gear I've used before. This year my young daughter wants to try backpacking with me, so I needed to find a lightweight and low cost sleep system for her to use. So... does this sleeping bag fit that need?SIZEThe compressed size of this bag is about 8" long and about 5.5" in diameter. That's very good! In fact, it's smaller than my fancy camping quilt, so it's good for a young backpacker who needs a smaller load. When rolled out, it's about 31" wide (at it's widest) and 84" long. I'm a 5'10" man with a medium build, and it's more than big enough for me.WEIGHTI weighed this sleeping bag at just slightly more than what the product details stated — 1.3 lb, or about 600 grams. That's still very good! For comparison, my high end quilt is 1.6 lb. So, once again, this seems very suitable for a backpacker trying to manage their weight without blowing the budget.WARMTHAll that compact size and low weight doesn't come for free! Since this bag doesn't use a high-end insulator like down, they're achieving that weight and size by using a very thin layer of a polyester fill. In the marketing material they always refer to it as FENC. I wasn't familiar with that material, so I did some research. There's not much written about it online, but it's basically just a polyester fiber that's been shaped to mimic some of the properties of down.Well, the extremely thin layer of FENC in this sleeping bag doesn't really come close to the loft or insulating power of down. But then again, they don't promise that it will. The product detail page says it's rated for 48°F - 68°F, and I think that's probably about right. I wouldn't use this sleeping bag on a truly cold night, but it would be just fine for camping on a warm night when you really don't need much extra warmth. (For the record, the tag attached to the product claims a temp rating of 27°F - 55°F. Definitely just ignore that. There's no way this sleeping bag is appropriate at those temperatures.)QUALITY & DURABILITYThe product page doesn't state this anywhere, so I was surprised to discover the zipper is actually YKK. It moves very smoothly and doesn't seem prone to snag on the fabric.I pulled on the nylon outer fabric and it resisted stretching, so that also seems good quality. The stitching isn't quite as tight as my high-end quilt, but it's still good. There are baffles to keep the insulation in place — not a lot, but probably enough to prevent anything from shifting too much.Overall, this is higher build quality than I expected from an unknown brand!STORAGEThe included stuff sack is interesting because it actually cinches up TWICE. That helps the bag act almost like a compression bag. You cinch it up once, then compress it down a bit more and cinch it up again. Pretty clever.SUMMARYThis sleeping bag gives you a compact size, light weight, and relatively low cost, with the only sacrifice being its fairly weak insulation. But if you're only planning to sleep out on warmer nights, then I think that trade off works really well. For my daughter's new backpacking gear, I think this works just about perfectly. It's a low-cost, compact, light weight sleeping bag that should work great for our first few trips in the summer. This sleeping bag is so perfect when you go camping and want to save room! It's comfy and saves room. I love this sleeping bag!Yes, I recommend this product ?Fully in love with this sleeping bag, it has an extremely small footprint and is very light weight. Once out of the tiny bag it comes in, it unrolls and fits a regular single adult. The stuffing is thin so I'm not sure I'd use it to sleep in the snow or anything, but my kid loves it for laying around the house, sleepovers, and "camping day" at her school. It's a cool lime green on one side and and also has a small pocket so you can stick the bag in it so it doesn't get lost. The best part is I think it's really really easy to stuff back into the bag without needing any tricks, it literally just stuffs in.
